How does the Wing Distance One Hour work?

Distance One Hour is how scored by how far you wingfoil in one hour. Only a wing is allowed to propel oneself over the water. When starting your GPS recording, there is a 5 minute preparation period before the actual Distance One Hour starts counting. This means 0:05hr to 1:05hr is the relevant time period of your session that will determine your score.

How do I record a Freeride (GPS) session on my Phone?

To record a Freeride session on an iPhone or Android phone, start by opening the WOO App. Click on the My WOO icon (bottom bar, center) and choose “Go Kiting”. Hit “Activate Beacon & Start WOO Session”, click on the Phone checkmark and Start Your Session. You’re now recording a Freeride session! We encourage you to lock your phone screen, secure your phone in a dry bag, and tuck under your wetsuit while riding. When you’re finished, unlock the phone and Swipe to Save the session. Navigate back to the My WOO icon and you’ll now have a Session to Save, where a Photo, Description, Quiver, and Spot can be added. Once complete, your session is posted to WOO Worlds!

How do I record a Freeride (GPS) session on my Apple Watch?

To record a Freeride session with the Apple Watch, please download the WOO Sports App on your Watch. Begin by opening the WOO Phone App and Watch App together, automatically signing you in to your account on the Watch. Confirm Location Permission is allowed and Start the session. By default, Water Screenlock is enabled on the watch, so you can go ride without the session accidentally ending. Once you’re done with your session, unlock by press and hold the Crown, swipe right and choose Save. The session will then automatically transfer to your phone and appear in My WOO > Post Sessions. If the phone is not accessible, the watch app will store the session, and you can trigger the sync manually by opening watch app, swiping left on the home screen and choosing Unsent Sessions. Once synced, go to Post Sessions, choose the session, and complete the session info and post.

How do I record a Freeride (GPS) session on my Android Watch?

To record a Freeride session with the Android Watch, please download the WOO Sports app to your watch. Begin by opening the WOO Phone App and Watch App together, automatically signing you in to your account on the Watch. On the Watch App, click Press to Start and your session will start recording. We recommend screen locking the Android Watch manually by swiping down from the top and choosing the Water Droplet icon. Once you’re done with your session, unlock the screen and swipe right, and choose Save. The watch will transfer the session to your phone and be available in My WOO > Post Sessions. If your phone is unavailable, the session is stored on the watch and can be transferred later by opening the watch app, swiping left, and choosing Unsent Sessions. Once synced, you can post your session by clicking it in My WOO > Post Sessions, complete the session info and post.

How do I record a Freeride (GPS) session on my Garmin Watch?

To record a Freeride session with your Garmin, start by loading either the “Kite WOO+GPS” or “Kite GPS” on your watch via the ConnectIQ app. These two apps create a new Activity type for your watch, whether you want to pair with your WOO sensor or just record GPS. Once installed, open the WOO App on your phone, go to My WOO, Upload Session, and click the Garmin logo top right. Authorize Garmin sessions to sync. When you’re ready to ride, start either “Kite GPS” or “Kite WOO + GPS”, and recording will begin. When you’re done, Save the session and Garmin with automatically sync the session to your My WOO > Upload Session screen, where you can complete the session info and post.
